Nottingham Shire & Carriage for Hire is the premier horse drawn carriage service in the downtown Atlanta area, specializing in weddings and boasting the only cinderella carriage in Atlanta. Nottingham was established in 2000 and is currently the largest company in Atlanta. Our dedication to providing the best service available in the downtown Atlanta area has helped us grow to be the carriage company of choice. Whether you have a high profile celebrity wedding or a birthday party in the Georgia countryside, we are equipped to handle your personal needs. Our carriages are hand crafted and kept in immaculate condition, with new carriages brought on the line regularly. The horses of Nottingham are beautiful, healthy, well-bred animals, many being registered show horses, including an English import! Half of our herd was bred, raised, and trained by the company, the other horses come mostly from Amish farms. Nottingham specializes in helping to preserve the rare English Shire draft horse by breeding and promoting the majestic animal. We usually have at least one registered Shire foal for sale and occasionally older stock as well. Nottingham is a proud member of the Carriage Operators of North America, Ga Draft Horse Association, and the Shire Horse Society in England.

Our beautiful horse drawn carriages can turn your special event into a precious memory of a lifetime. The carriages are handcrafted by some of the finest Amish craftsmen in the country, all the way down to the unique pin-striping. For that special touch, you can choose from one of our several floral arrangements to decorate the carriage; as well as a variety of signs to hang on the carriage, such as 'Just Married' or 'Happy Birthday'. We use the majestic and rare Shire Draft horse, with less than 5,000 worldwide; as well as solid white Percheron Draft Horses, fulfilling the dream of a white horse and carriage on your wedding day. Our horses, driven by experienced drivers dressed in tuxedos, are safe and dependable, whether it is the bustling city streets of Atlanta or a private wedding in the fields of the country. |
Horses
At Nottingham we have safe carriage horses available for special events as well as downtown tours. All of our street horses have also participated in local draft shows and are trail ridden as well at their country stable. Besides the carriage horses, we also have a few broodmares we show and breed. The horses of Notttingham are members of our family. We depend on the animals as much as they depend on us. The horses are treated fairly and humanely in every way. All our drivers are animal lovers and some even own their own private horses as well.
